This thread is devoted to finding backup places to take cover or temporarily hold up. What a better place than a creepy old abandoned town? Seriously tho, ghost towns have no populations, and they are gonna be safer than any city crawling with the undead. And besides that ghost towns and stuff are neat!

The link has Canadian ghost towns. I am sure a quick google search will provide similar results for your area.

Really tho, besides running to the hills and hanging in the woods, where else is there to go, should you have to pack up leave the cities because it is too dangerous?

Remember in Resident Evil and Cloverfield the threat was neutralized or alleviated via nukes or nuking the whole area creating a slick cover up. I doubt they would be nuking any little ol villages forgotten off the trail a few yards.

Any thoughts? Anyone already have this covered?

That ghost town idea may be the greatest and most original zombie survival idea I have ever heard. Even if all the houses were crumbling, there should be enough usable lumber to make at least one house livable and secure. With no population, you wouldn't have much to defend against anyway. There would probably be useful things left by the previous owners, maybe even equipment in shops. I wish there were ghost towns here. Why not take a page from MoneyMike as well and try to find a ghost town on an island, that would be awesome!
