some of these have been listed already, but here's what i can come up with. most are obvious, some aren't - and i've probably left out something really important since it's 5am.

Short term:
Combat
ability to find fortifications/shelter/food & water
driving under stress in adverse conditions and/or offroad
ability to build a fire
open a can without a canopener
first aid

Medium term:
wilderness survival (shelter, hunting, fishing, foraging)
urban scavenging
ammunition hand loading
knife sharpening and repair
sewing
ability to build a fire without matches or a lighter

longer term:
bullet casting
manufacturing black powder
farming? depending on your situation and availability of defensible land
bartering/negotiation

lock picking could come in handy if you want to scavenge in (sub)urban environments without alerting every zombie within a 200 yard radius to your presence by smashing in a door. (although keep in mind that you may find a well armed human on the other side who doesn't appreciate your removing their barrier between them and the zombies)

I've recently taken up foraging as something to study and practice when the weather gets better in my part of the world, and I've been reading up on edible plants, mushrooms, and the like.  But more importantly, the ability to cook them would be nice.

I also have begun making chainmail products in the last 6 months and can turn out some modest armor given enough time and a few tools (and don't forget the steel wire on a spool).  Making the wire would be the catch, or finding more when I run out.  I'm using electric fence wire, and I suppose any kind would do in a pinch for patch jobs.

Sewing, Carpentry, and don't forget People Management skills.  Someone's got to lead the new world after we get rid of the zombies.

The only other skill other then what was said is probably knowing Parkour. It can get you away from getting bitten, as well as help you moving threw the trashed city's.

From Wikipedia:

Parkour (sometimes also abbreviated to PK) or l'art du déplacement[1] (English: the art of movement) is an activity with the aim of moving from one point to another as efficiently and quickly as possible, using principally the abilities of the human body.[2] It is meant to help one overcome obstacles, which can be anything in the surrounding environment—from branches and rocks to rails and concrete walls—and can be practiced in both rural and urban areas. Parkour practitioners are referred to as traceurs, or traceuses for females.[3]

Founded by David Belle and a group of friends in France, parkour focuses on practicing efficient movements to develop one's body and mind to be able to overcome obstacles in an emergency.

Personally, I'd say being able to work metal, and being able to improvise a weapon. Armoursmithing might just come in handy. Personally, I knit chainmail.

a couple good skills i can think of would be fire-making, definitely shooting, and hand-to-hand combat skills.
