Best way to deal with the 28 Day zombies are from very far away.  If you have to close with them you are going to get splattered.

For Gloves several companies that make law enforcment glove also make good gloves that are blood born pathogen resistant.
ie:  www.uniforcetactical.com

For Face/head:  heavy duty hard hat with an chemical resistant face shield.  Or a police riot helmet with face shield and lobster tail.

For me:  I'd wear my long oiled duster.  A bit heavy and warm, but I can still run with it on.  If I'm facing Ninja zombies, I am probably not going to be able to maintain any kind of dead sprint to escape.  It's water proof and has several large pockets good for storing an MRE, tools and spare ammo.

Well, the other one includes body armor and is more directed towards protection from bites, so I'd say Blood Born Pathogen armor deserves it's own thread.
I'd say in a pinch raingear and duct tape would be okay. Use the duct tape around the waist and where your gloves and sleeves connect on the rain jacket and where the pants meet your boots. Electrical tape might be more water/blood/liquid proof and therefor better than duct tape.
