I picked "Board up the present location and search for weapons" and "Look for survivors and supplies" and I would do them in that order.
I would make the area I was in as safe as possible and procure or improvise weapons from the environment, then I would try to make my way home where my family (and my guns) are, looking for any other survivors and supplies on the way. I personally would stay away from gun stores, grocery stores and any other places where people would converge. More people = more zombies, plus the fact that other survivors have the potential to be more deadly than zombies, and the more of them you have the more likely a few will be whackos.

I'm with you OVERKILL, trying to purchase or steal weapons would be futile at that point.  People who don't already have them had better find someone who does and make friends.  Or just survive long enough to pick them off the dead.  Having to fight my way back to the family, house and guns is the scariest and most tricky part for me.  I can't carry back and forth to work, but otherwise, I have my Kimber on my hip.  It's little comfort in a full blown SHTF situation, but better than nothing.  The two 8 round magazines I carry would likely dry up fast.  Maybe it's time to pick up another carbine just for the truck!  Once home with my family secure, I might still try and bug out.

I would trust a zombie before a human.  At least the zombie's intentions are clear, and you know what it wants.

2 of the truest things I've heard in a while. I've always figured home would be my downfall, either trying to make my way to it instead staying put, or trying to defend it rather than bugging out.
