If you could only take one luxury item with you as you fled from the zombies as they invaded your home, what would it be? Something that would have absolutely no use against zombies, just something you like.
For me it wold be video games. They would serve no function and I would not have time to play them, the consoles, controllers, cables, monitor, discs, cartridges (can't forget the retro games, right?) would all take up too much space and weight, not to mention lack of electricity. Maybe I could just grab my DS, it's small and portable, and it plays GBA games. Now, just finding a way to keep it charged.

Hmm. I'd take a deck of cards. Not just any cards, but a deck of "We Didn't Playtest This at All."

My complete pokemon card collection. I have every pokemon card. I've collected since 1999 and I'm 16 now. Do the math. Yes I've worked very hard. I love my cards. Lol

Wait. I gotta better one. I'd bring my gaming gear. All of it. All 20 pounds of D&D books, plus the hundreds of dice. First thing I do when the zombies hit, is loot the nearest game shop for more. If only because of rule #1 of gaming.

A gamer can never have too many dice.

Well, at least we won't be bored. I have to say that you guys had better answers than me, cards and dice don't need electricity!

Second though i would bring my rwading text book and my history text book. The world my still be gone but I rather be a smart killer than an illterate one. Though reading wount help me In a battle. It's probably to prevent insanity. Though I coupe with things rather well. Lol or I would take my photoalbum of my family. I'm sorry to admit but my mother is not in shape nor is my father. My grandparents are full of problems too, the only pol from my family to survive are my  aunt Jessica and uncle servando. And my cousins, NO ZOMBIE WILL EVER NEVER EVER touch my cousins. But yea a photo album. I would defend mommy and daddy as Much as I could. Same with abuelo and abuela.

Hey, those history books qualify as essential gear. They can show you the forts built by the first British colonies, I went to school in Virginia until 4th grade so we learned a lot about Roanoke and the triangular log forts and why they were bulit that way. I'm sure Texas state history tells a little about the forts the built. The good thing about all the old style forts is that they were basically bulit out of what was available; stone, trees or mud and straw. History books tell you what loopholes were and how they were used (on a related note, somewhere I came across a chart telling how many rounds of 5.56x45 were required to pierce certain types of walls and how many rounds are required to create a loophole, if I can find it again I'll post a link).
That is very honorable to vow to protect your parents as long as possible. It's good to know some people will give help to those who need it. I'm not in the best shape myself, I think I'll do a few push ups tonight.
