Anybody else wonder if the robots might beat the zombies to the punch? Or that aliens might invade the Earth? What else do you think may bring about the apocalypse?

Well at the rate our technology is advancing, the robot apocolips sounds pretty plausable.

I worry about robots too. Self replicating ASIMO's are only a short ways off. I gave some serious thought to the whole android apocalpse thing and think IPSC would be good training with the targets having torso and headshot scoring. Giving that man seems to create these things in his own image hopeully the batteries are in the torso and the CPU in the head. Of course if I train for that the robots will be different.
Aliens hell bent on human destruction are the worst. We don't even know if they exist, they're technology would be much more advanced and only sci-fi writers can imagine the alien's anatomy.

robots strike me as a good beat to the zombies because, technology is like crazy right now. Microsoft is letting loose this new thing, forget what its called, saw it on E3, its like the Wii but its more mobile. A camera sits atop your TV and gives you FULL control of your character's movements for certain mini-games that come with the camera. Unlike with the Wii, your controls are limitless. You wanna air-hump that ball that's flying towards you? no problem! You control every part of your body. Then theres this little kid on there named "Milo" and he can talk to you! If you say something to him like, "Sup dude." He answers back, "Hey, hows it goin?" Its friggen crazy! Then, like, if you draw something on a sheet of paper in, say, red ink or whatever, hold it up to the camera and he can take it into the game! He grabs the sheet of paper (not really but i hope you get the picture......pun intended) and looks at it. Then he'll say like "That's a great (insert picture here). I like the red. It goes good with it. " Im thinking, pretty darn sweet but then again im goin, HOLY sh*t! TERMINATOR!!!!

And you know the ol' equation. Science fiction equals science fact + time.

I don't think robots will ever truly bring about the end there is to much we can do to stop them say mabey a ElectoMagneticPulse if you can make one that's small handheld it can eliminate 100's of the Robots in seconds with the use of just one man think about it
Also I saw on the military channel that there is an EMParch that they use in Iraq that can stop cars by destroying the computer parts so my portable EMP idea is Plausible

You should read Lights Out by Halffast.  It was available free on-line in PDF form.  I don't know if he ever got published or not.  It was based on a fairly plausible premise of a terrorist EMP attack.  Good stuff.  He also posted a teaser for a zombie book has was working on.  I read everything that I could find written by him online.  He has another one about bugging out. I can't get enough.  He posted them on a couple different forums, and they were very popular with the members.  Really brought up things that I hadn't even considered before.  I believe mankind will bring the apocalypse on himself.
